From small utilities to full-scale business projects

Let me introduce myself. My name is Yuri, and I am a certified software development specialist with several certificates and diplomas. I can help you optimize your business processes with simple custom software utilities created specifically for your business needs.

The tasks I can solve may be very different. Below are just a few examples of projects I have recently completed.

1. Merging and comparing Excel files
Let’s say you store important business information in .xls files. At some point, two different versions of the same files were created and edited by different employees. Now, to get the full picture, you have to check both versions manually.

The two file branches have changed so much that simply copying data from one file into another is no longer possible, because it may create conflicts or duplicate information.

To solve this problem, I created a Python script that merged two file branches back into one. The logic was simple and reliable: if one file contained unique information, it was automatically copied into the final file. If matching rows contained different values, the utility asked the user which version should be kept.

The script worked in a graphical interface, just like a regular Windows application. In just a few minutes, it processed thousands of rows of data, significantly simplifying business operations for my customer.

2. Automating data entry from different sources
You may need to fill out forms or tables using information from different sources: PDF files, Excel files, emails, and more.

If the incoming information is structured and repetitive, but you still have to enter it manually every time, this process can be automated.

I can create a script that opens the files you provide, searches for information based on your criteria, and fills out the result table in a semi-automatic mode.

3. Turning your smartphone into a barcode scanner
Let’s say you need to keep track of equipment located in different places. Usually, this means boring paperwork with a pen and paper, plus unavoidable mistakes when entering information manually.

I can turn your smartphone into a barcode scanner with automatic data entry into a database. After that, you can generate convenient reports filtered by date, time, equipment type, location, and other parameters.

4. Mass configuration of security cameras
Imagine you have a large video surveillance system and need to change the same setting on hundreds of cameras, such as the time zone or NTP server.

You have two options: open the settings of 789 cameras manually and spend weeks of valuable time, or contact me and I will create a Python script that can complete the task in just a few minutes.

5. Displaying a live security camera feed on your website
Do you want to show a live camera feed on your website?

For example, you may have a construction site and want to show sponsors or future residents the progress of the project. Or maybe you own a ski resort and your customers want to see that there is plenty of snow on the slopes. Or a zoo. Or any other idea you may have.

I can integrate a camera feed into your website without using YouTube services. No stream restarts, no session control issues, and no unnecessary complications. Once configured, your camera can display video directly on your website.

6. Database applications for smartphones and large screens
I can create database applications for your smartphone, tablet, computer, or large display.

These applications can be used for inventory, equipment tracking, product lists, task lists, or any other structured information. They can include instant search by any parameter and export reports to Excel files.

7. Integration with hardware
I can also work with hardware integrations: sensors, relays, inputs, and outputs.

This may include measurement systems with data saved to a database, remote process control, or automatic switching of equipment on and off based on parameters you define.

8. Custom website development
This website was also created by me personally.

It is not WordPress, Joomla, or any other ready-made website builder. I write the code myself using PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL.

The website is integrated with social networks and other websites. It includes photo galleries for different service categories, news, FAQ, service information, and a protected customer order form.

The visible part of the website is only the tip of the iceberg. To update website pages, no programming is required. All changes are made through hidden and protected admin pages by filling out simple forms.
