Linovision POE-SW508G POE++ Switch testing

We had a task to power a Genetec SharpV license plate recognition camera via PoE. The issue is that this camera consumes quite a lot of power — according to the specifications, up to 40W. That’s why regular PoE switches, and even PoE+ ones, aren’t suitable. We needed a switch with a higher power output — a PoE++ standard.
For testing, we selected the Linovision POE-SW508G switch. According to the documentation, it has 4 PoE++ ports with an output power of 90W, 4 additional PoE ports, and two SFP ports.
During testing, the switch performed very well. It powered the SharpV without any issues. The SFP ports were tested with both SM and MM modules, and in both cases, the connection was stable.
Conclusion: if you need to power a high-consumption device, the Linovision POE-SW508G is an excellent choice for the job!
